The Reading Room |
|
| The Reading Room is perhaps the busiest
and most comfortable room in the house. Watched over by the portraits of
famous authors, students often go into this room to get a little
homework done and to socialize with their friends. This room is easily
the most comfortable sitting area in the entire house, with a brown
couch that is easily bigger than most of the dorm beds! There have been
many occasions when four or five students will cram on it together to
talk and laugh about their days. The Reading Room, despite all of this frivolity, is also a place that is really essential to the house. Being the biggest room, it is home to most clubs's meetings, like Writer's Theater, Writer's Union, the Colophon, or Eros. It is a center of conversation, socialization, and study, making it nearly as diversified as the library. Still, despite it being a center of conversation for the students, there is nothing quite like walking into the room when everyone else is busy and curling up with a good book while Edith Wharton snoozes nearby! |
